“When I was a little boy, my father took me to his construction sites and I got my first look at the real estate industry. Actively designing something and implementing new ideas immediately fascinated me. My career aspiration was decided very quickly and immediately after completing my Abitur I finished an apprenticeship in the property and housing industry. I acquired my first property at the age of 22. For financial reasons, I initially did all the work on this first residential and commercial building. I did minor repairs, garden maintenance, the stairwell cleaning and the apartment renovations, mostly after work and on weekends. Friends have often supported me on the renovations with their expertise and energy at the weekend. The "payment" of my helpers mostly consisted of a good meal (and sometimes a case of beer, which we drank together after work). My goal was to further expand the property portfolio, which I slowly but consistently pursued. In the meantime, I don't have the time to do my own manual labor on my properties, because with the growth, comes more commercial tasks. Sometimes I regret that I no longer manage to lay the flooring myself or torture a paintbrush. Fortunately, I have had a reliable and good team for years, which does a better job than me anyway. In the meantime, we have successfully implemented a large number of projects with our team, of which I am very proud. For example succeeding in winning a Europe-wide property proposal request for through the best development concept. In my hometown Essen, too, we have been able to implement many projects through teamwork and I still have a lot of fun doing something positive. ”
